On June 20th and 21st Marivent Yachts attended the Prestige Yachts dealer meeting in Port Bourgenay – in the Vendée department, where Jeanneau presented its sales network with the latest news for the coming season.
During the time we were able to analyse the overall results of the French shipyard, as well as the commercial strategy and objectives for next year. It is worth noting the great success of the new models launched during 2017. The 460 (Miami – February 2017) and 520 (Cannes – September 2017) total 40 signed units each. This shows the great success of the shipyard with its models between 40 and 50 feet. To these figures must be added 70 more units from the rest of the range, which shows there really is a market penetration of Prestige Yachts in a very competitive market segment. These results, together with the rest of the Jeanneau range (outboard, inboard and sailing), reinforce the Beneteau Group as the world’s number one manufacturer of pleasure craft.
Erik Stromberg presented the new Prestige 590 on the second day of the event, which will replace the successful 560. This 18-metre-long, three-bedroom, two-bathroom model (with the option of a third bathroom) features new features that are in high demand in the market, while maintaining the Prestige DNA. It offers the option of a garage or crew cabin, a sofa in the cockpit that can be converted into an additional chill-out solarium. At the bow, the social spaces gain in prominence and the traditional solarium can become a sofa with a table, well protected by a set of masts and a very chic awning. A side access door from the saloon allows a quick and comfortable transition to the outside during manoeuvres. Later we will dedicate a detailed article to the virtues and benefits of this new model that we are convinced will be a success given its starting price compared to its direct competition.
Finally, the shipyard’s extensive loyalty programme should be highlighted, starting with the Azur Escapades, which is being organised for the first time worldwide and to take place in Mallorca. Based in Port Adriano, the French shipyard organises a meeting of Prestige owners from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th. An event to which we invite our customers to participate.
